DJ Code Red was drawn into music after listening to his cousins (Harlem's Saturn 3), Hip-Hop on 98.7 Kiss FM and WBLS in New York City. Kool DJ Red Alert, Jazzy J, Afrika Bambaataa and Chuck Chillout were among his early influences. He then moved to Miami and started on his path to turntablism. By the time he was 18, his skills garnered opening performances for Run DMC, Madonna, Mantronix, Schoolly D and The 2 Live Crew at the legendary Beat Club. He then had an opportunity to tour the world with the United States Air Force. In California, he was influenced by FM20 (Q-Bert and MM Mike), Cameron Paul, King Tech and Rodney O. He got his first chance to produce music and performed alongside MC Hammer, Lighter Shade of Brown and Das EFX. In Asia, he followed the styles of Atsushi and Honda. While in England he became close to the House/Techno/ Rave movement. St James, Syvertsen, Fat Boy Slim, Carl Cox, Judge Jules, Chris Goldfinger all lent pieces to the Code Red style. Now, in Baltimore, he has come to the final leg of his journey. Baltimore Club has now made him come full circle with the passion urban music and the energy of dance music. STAY TUNED!!!!!!
